ClamAV Virus Scanning

ClamAV is widely used and is a respected open-source antivirus software designed to detect and combat various types of malware including viruses, trojans, worms, and other malicious software.

ClamAV is efficient, versatile, and effective in providing real-time protection for both individual users and large-scale networks.

ClamAV - short for Clam AntiVirus - is fully integrated into the SureDrop environment.

Open the Admin functions and click on the Virus Scanning link.

By default, the ClamAV sanitization engine is active.

To stop scanning files, deselect the “Enable company wide virus scanning” checkbox.

After making your changes, click on the Save button.

To ensure that the virus definitions used are the very latest, ClamAV will check for updates every hour.
