# SureDrop Users

This section provides information that will guide you in the management of your SureDrop users.

SureDrop secure file sharing has five types of role that can be assigned to an individual user.

Each role has a different level of authorisation linked to the functions they can perform.

SureDrop users are assigned to one of the following roles:

* **Restricted user** - has read-only access to files in groups to which they are invited.
* **Standard user** - has read and write access and can share or delete files within groups of which they are members.
* **Power user** - can create groups and if the group owner, has administration rights within that group.
* **Admin user** - has system administration rights that allow the creation of users and access to all groups.
* **Forensic user** - allows viewing and restoration of files deleted by any user and purged by Power and Admin users.
